Robust switch for extreme industrial use
The industrial 5-port Gigabit DIN rail switch 'TI-G51SC' with multi-mode SC port from Trendnet is suitable for long ranges of up to 550 m.
At the heart of the industrial switch is a solid core of four Gigabit RJ45 ports, supplemented by a Gigabit SC multimode fiber optic connection that reliably connects networks over distances of up to 550 m. This makes the switch suitable for environments in which long distances need to be bridged and data rates of up to 10 Gbit/s need to be achieved at the same time. Support for jumbo frames (up to 9KB) ensures efficient data packet processing, especially for data-intensive applications in industrial environments. Its robust metal housing with protection class IP30 protects against dust and mechanical influences such as shocks and vibrations, and the switch is certified in accordance with IEC 60068-2-27, -2-32 and -2-6. The operating temperature range is specified as -40 to +75 °C. A power supply with redundant inputs and integrated overload protection ensures that operation is maintained even if individual components fail. An integrated alarm relay reacts to faults in the power supply and reliably forwards signals. Extensive EMC certifications provide the necessary protection against electrical interference.
