The collected data can be transferred to Azure IoT Edge and then to the Azure IoT Hub with just a few configuration steps. Conversely, devices can be managed on the IIoT gateways via the path from Azure IoT Hub to Azure IoT Edge. With features such as resuming interrupted file transfers, over-the-air (OTA) upgrades and secure boot, Moxa 's gateways can be upgraded and maintained in remote locations - most IIoT applications are deployed in decentralized, unmanned and harsh environments - in smart grids, energy storage systems, solar farms, oil and gas refineries or rail transportation applications. The gateways offer integrated recovery functions to restore the previous stable firmware version in order to avoid connection interruptions in the event of device crashes and sudden shutdowns and to enable an uninterrupted network connection at decentralized locations.
