OPC Foundation
New president and managing director elected
The OPC Foundation has appointed Stefan Hoppe as its new President and CEO. His predecessor, Thomas Burke, nominated Hoppe as his successor before he stepped down at the last board meeting. Hoppe was elected by the board at the same meeting.
"OPC UA can become as important for IoT applications - in all markets - as Ethernet is and was for connecting computers to the Internet. My mission is to position and expand the OPC Foundation to successfully meet this challenge," says Stefan Hoppe, new President and CEO of the OPC Foundation.
