New networking options for EtherCAT / FSoE
Euchner is expanding the number of fieldbus protocols for the MGB2 Modular safety gate system. In addition to the connection to the Profinet/ Profisafe and Ethercat P/ FSoE bus protocols, the 'MBM' bus module for connection to the safe Ethercat/ FSoE is now available on the market.
The safety gate system secures access points in safety gates and fences behind which hazardous areas of machines and systems exist. The entire system has a modular design and can be customized: It consists of a locking module, submodules for operating and display elements and optional extension modules. The user selects the MBM bus module for his individual connection. The locking module can be connected directly to all bus modules or mounted separately and connected with cables. With the remote bus module, several locking modules and separately mounted extension modules can be connected to the same bus module. The individual devices provide a wide range of diagnostic data in the form of Ethercat or Profinet messages, such as voltage, temperature or switching cycles.
