Belden introduces the Lite Managed Switch product family 'Lemur' to the market, offering features such as advanced security and full Gigabit Ethernet.
Belden 's switches are based on 'HiEOS' software and feature an intuitive web interface that simplifies commissioning and maintenance without the need for specialist IT knowledge. Designed in accordance with the IEC 62443-4-1 Secure Development Lifecycle process, they offer IP30 protection and Power over Ethernet (PoE) and PoE+ options with up to 180W of power without the need for a separate power supply. The 'HiEOS' software running on the switches provides essential Layer 2 managed switching features such as port control, remote diagnostics and PoE/PoE+ options. Features of the software include enhanced security functions including SSHv2 and multiple authorization levels, redundancy protocols including Ethernet Ring Protection Switching (ERPS), Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP) and Media Redundancy Protocol (MRP) Client.
