I/O modules in IP67

Turck is expanding its range of safe I/O components with the TBPN block I/O modules for Profisafe and TBIP for CI Safety.

The robust IP67 modules TBPN and TBIP from Turck bring safe input and output signals directly from the field to the safety controller. Alternatively, the modules can also be used as decentralized safety controllers in the field. This function optimizes modular machines and applications in which long bus cycle times to the central controller would require increased safety distances. In addition, safety functions can be tested offline with the local safety controller function before the machine or machine module communicates with a central controller. In combination with the dedicated web server, commissioning is significantly accelerated.

The block I/O devices provide four safe inputs and four universal inputs or outputs (FDX) in the field. The modules can be used for applications up to PL e, category 4, in safety-related circuits up to SILCL 3. For actuators, 2 A are available per output and up to 9 A in total per module. The fully encapsulated block modules with IP65/IP67/IP69K protection and an extended operating temperature range of -40 to +70 °C can withstand even the harshest environments.
