Inka Krischke,

Free IIoT software

The first step in IIoT projects is usually the digital connection and subsequent configuration of the devices - for example with IO-Link devices and the 'moneo configure' software from ifm. This is now available free of charge.

With 'moneo configure', users can configure IO-Link devices from any manufacturer.

With 'moneo configure' - a module from ifm 's IIoT platform - IO-Link devices and IO-Link master modules from ifm can be parameterized with just a few clicks. This not only works with ifm devices, but IO-Link devices from other manufacturers can also be easily integrated and configured. This is made possible by an online search via the integrated connection to the IODD database. A scan function enables even complex IO-Link networks with numerous masters and devices to be recorded and displayed quickly. The 'moneo configure' software allows the sensors to be parameterized and monitored without the involvement of a higher-level controller. A function in the cockpit that allows up to two process data to be clearly visualized is particularly helpful during setup and error analysis. The user can immediately see how changing the parameterization affects the data. Parameter data sets that have already been created can be managed within the software using import and export functions. If a sensor needs to be replaced, the parameterization can be easily transferred back to the new sensor with just a few clicks. To make it even easier to get started in the IIoT world, ifm is now offering the software free of charge. Users can download it from the company's website and then start their first IIoT project immediately.
