With the M2-2213 model from Spectra, three additional Firewire interfaces can be created, one according to the IEEE 1394a standard and two according to the IEEE 1394b standard. These interfaces enable transfer rates of 100 Mbits/s, 200 Mbits/s, 400 Mbits/s and 800 Mbits/s. The M2-225 model enables an additional Gigabit Ethernet interface to be added. It is equipped with the Intel Ethernet Controller I225, with which transfer rates of up to 2.5 Gbit can be achieved.

The M.2 expansion cards are inserted and fixed in the corresponding M.2 slot parallel to the board to save space. The compact cards measure 22 mm x 30 mm x 7 mm. The supplied accessories - cable and matching I/O shield - make it easier to lead out the interfaces.
