Fast communication via Profinet
Deutschmann Automation has expanded the 'Unigate IC2' series and is launching the Unigate IC2 Profinet embedded solution.
According to Deutschmann Automation, the module provides Profinet connectivity and can be easily integrated into an end device or sensor system. The integrated ARM Cortex M4 processor technology ensures fast communication. The embedded solution allows data to be processed at high speed and forwarded to the customer's application. The UART interface achieves baud rates of up to 6 MBaud. The SPI bus supports a transmission rate of 12 Mbit/s in master mode and 10 Mbit/s in slave mode. The All-in-One bus node also supports MRP (Media Redundancy Protocol) and S2 system redundancy. A proprietary script is available for the protocol connection between the Unigate IC2 and the end device, which is created in the script language developed by Deutschmann Automation. The 'Protocol Developer Tool' is available for programming the script. The processing time of a script line is approx. 10 µs.
