DFKI professors at the head of the FFPA

Prof. Hans Dieter Schotten, Scientific Director at DFKI and head of the Intelligent Networks research department, was appointed as his deputy.
The aim of the recently founded FFPA is to promote the use of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies in factories. The partners united in the alliance want to advance the standardization of coordination and control technology for currently coexisting wireless technologies. The founding members include the companies Omron, Fujitsu, NEC, Sanritz Automation, Murata Machinery and the two institutes Advanced Telecommunications Research Institute International (ATR) and National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT).
