Softing 's software modules based on Docker technology provide access to process data in Simatic S7, Sinumerk 840D and Modbus TCP controllers. MQTT can be used to make the structure of IIoT solutions more flexible. For example, recipe management can be implemented from the cloud or at the edge by receiving data from an MQTT broker and writing it to a controller. Predictive maintenance via the MQTT protocol is also possible. In addition, the Monitor & Optimization (M&O) application can be used to change variables in the production process as soon as M&O has identified optimization potential. Thanks to the use of container technology, the products are quickly ready for use. They are operated on standard hardware and can be administered centrally. All edgeConnector products support security standards such as SSL/TLS, X.509 certificates, authentication and data encryption.
