The finalists of the Robotic Awards 2016
Third-placed Faro Europe from Korntal-Münchingen entered the Robotics Award 2016 with their product 'Faro Frim'. 'Frim' stands for 'Factory Robo Imager Mobil'. It is a collaborative mobile robot platform for 3D measurement in manufacturing and laboratories. The product is ready for operation within a few minutes without any programming effort and enables measurements to be taken at practically any location in production. The measurement sequences for capturing objects and generating 3D object data are performed automatically. The platform can be operated without additional devices. Sales markets are in the automotive, aerospace and mechanical engineering industries. Following real-life tests within industrial applications, the product is now being launched on the market.
