Looking back: Winners and nominees of the Hermes Award 2017

In 2017, Deutsche Messe presented the Hermes Award industry prize to Schunk, based in Lauffen am Neckar, for its intelligent gripper JL1. This was developed for human-robot collaboration. The safety sensors are integrated into the gripper and do not restrict the possible handling and assembly processes. The gripper's surroundings are captured by two camera systems for automatic 3D part recognition. In addition to Schunk, the following companies were nominated for the Hermes Award 2017:
