It is often only individual IO-Link devices whose data needs to be collected decentrally. Until now, Ethernet modules with four or eight IO-Link master ports had to be used for this purpose. Bihl+Wiedemann offers the BWU4088 and BWU4077 active distributors, two ASi-5 slave/IO-Link master modules with one and two IO-Link master ports respectively, as an alternative. Both modules are designed with IP67 protection, are supplied from AUX and can be connected as ASi-5 slaves to the yellow ASi cable using piercing technology. All AS-Interface features such as topology freedom and the maximum cable length of 200 m per ASi circuit can thus be used. The IO-Link devices are connected via one or two M12 cable sockets. The 'BWU4088' has one IO-Link master port Class B and the 'BWU4077' has one port Class A and one port Class B. The portfolio of IO-Link master modules is supplemented by two ASi-5 slave/ IO-Link master modules with four master ports in IP67 and IP20 respectively.
