Precisely calculate glass curvature

Screenscan-RD (Reflected Distortion) from Isra Vision should make it possible to objectively quantify the reflective properties of curved vehicle glass.

The system replaces manual inspection methods, which can no longer fully meet today's requirements in view of increasingly complex glass shapes. The process, which is based on patented stereo deflectometry, has been developed for evaluating the reflective optics of windscreens, rear windows and side windows. It allows measurement accuracy down to the milli-diopter range. Instead of the height of the surface, the system determines its local inclination. In this way, the glass curvature is calculated with the utmost precision and independently of viewing angles - and, according to the supplier, within standard cycle times. The Screenscan RD version available includes a target/actual comparison function based on CAD data as well as an evaluation option against freely definable critical values and the individual definition of particularly relevant regions. The software also includes a simulation with known grid methods and tools for data analysis.
