Position detection in six degrees of freedom

The VMT 3D vision system from VMT enables the position detection of any object in all six degrees of freedom.

The 3D multi-camera system can track robots precisely in terms of position and application without any loss of cycle time, thus enabling handling, transfer or machining processes. Thanks to completely virtual commissioning based on CAD data, VMT 's vision system can be set up before the first prototype is actually available.

During operation, the system provides robots with correction vectors for their path control. These adapt the robot's application paths to the previously measured position deviations. The position detection system can be expanded at any time, for example by adding further cameras or by teaching in new objects or modified detection features.
