Jochem Herrmann has decided to step down as President of the EMVA in order to spend more time with his family. In accordance with the association's constitution, the decision to elect the new president was made by the EMVA board at a recent board meeting in Berlin, where Dr. Chris Yates was unanimously elected. To ensure a smooth transition of the presidency, Herrmann will continue to serve on the EMVA Board in the coming year 2020.

Dr. Yates is Director of Advanced Technology in the Safety, Sensing, & Connectivity division at Rockwell Automation. He was previously CEO and founder of Odos Imaging until the company was acquired by Rockwell Automation in 2017.
