According to Matrix Vision, examples of applications include defect inspection in the semiconductor sector, the detection of different transparent materials in waste sorting or mold detection in food. The global shutter technology with backside illumination ensures distortion-free images of moving objects and high image quality thanks to optimum utilization of the pixel area. With a pixel size of 2.74 µm, the cameras achieve a resolution of 8.1 MPixel. In the GigE version mvBlueCougar-X, the camera achieves a frame rate of 25 fps at full resolution, while 147 fps is possible in the mvBlueCougar-XT with 10GigE interface. The sensor size of 2/3 inch enables the use of cost-effective UV-compatible lenses. The cameras are compatible with GenICam and GigE Vision.
