Basler, manufacturer of digital industrial cameras, completed the acquisition of mycable from Neumünster on June 1, 2017. Founder and Managing Director of mycable, Michael Carstens-Behrens, will work for Basler and mycable in the future.

With the acquisition of mycable, Basler aims to increase its market penetration in the rapidly growing field of embedded vision technology. At the same time, the company wants to reduce the integration effort of embedded vision technologies for its customers compared to today.

With the "dart" camera module series, the camera manufacturer has been addressing a wide range of applications in the field of embedded vision for more than two years. mycable, on the other hand, is an experienced provider in the field of consulting and development of embedded computing architectures. "Together, we have great potential to make embedded vision technology usable for a wide range of users," says Arndt Bake, Chief Marketing Officer at Basler).
