Basler confirms growth course

Basler, manufacturer of industrial cameras, has presented its annual financial statements for 2015. According to the report, Group sales increased by 8% in the 2015 financial year.

In total, Basler 's consolidated sales rose to € 85.4 million from € 79.2 million in the previous year. In line with strategy, the solutions business was substituted by the camera business - sales with cameras grew disproportionately by 15% compared to the previous year. The German industry for image processing components grew by 9% during the reporting period (according to the VDMA).

For the 2016 financial year, the Group anticipates an increase in sales revenue to between EUR 90 million and EUR 92 million.

Changes to the Executive Board

The long-standing Basler CEO Dr. Dietmar Ley will be leaving the company at the end of the year and will be succeeded by the current CCO/COO Hardy Mehl. The CTO position will be filled externally by Dr. Kai Jens Ströder.
