Arnaud Darmont appointed Standards Manager
Arnaud Darmont is the new EMVA Standards Manager at EMVA. In future, he will drive forward European standardization activities worldwide and coordinate the development process of image processing standards on the part of EMVA.
Another objective of the EMVA (European Machine Vision Association) is to identify new fields of action for standardization in the rapidly changing industrial and production environment.
Arnaud Darmont, CEO of the Belgian company Aphesa, has many years of machine vision experience in the technical, management and marketing fields. In previous positions, he worked on CMOS image sensors, industrial cameras, image quality improvement and embedded processing. In addition, Arnaud was and is involved in the development of the EMVA 1288 standard.
The European Machine Vision Association (EMVA) has been responsible for the development of standards for the image processing industry for almost 15 years: GenICam standardizes the high-level interface between an image processing device and a computer, EMVA1288 is a characterization and specification procedure for image sensors and cameras used in image processing. The EMVA also cooperates with other image processing associations worldwide in the standardization of technologies and processes.
