Inka Krischke,

5 MP autofocus camera in starter set

The 'uEye XS' from IDS Imaging Development Systems weighs just 12 g and fits into almost any application thanks to its size of just 26.4 mm x 23 mm x 21.7 mm. Thanks to its autofocus and 5 MP CMOS sensor, it delivers consistently sharp images and videos from a distance of just 10 cm.

The 'uEye XS starter set' is available for testing the camera, which contains a cable, a tripod adapter and a tripod in addition to the compact USB2 camera. If the distance between the lens and the object is constantly changing, users benefit from industrial cameras with automatic focus. They eliminate the need for manual refocusing and ensure that objects or labels are always perfectly visible. However, other factors are also crucial for good image quality, such as natural color reproduction and harmonious contrast. This is why IDS has equipped the 'uEye XS' with practical automatic functions that are familiar from consumer technology. These include white balance, exposure and gain. If you want to make even more precise adjustments, you can make the appropriate settings in the SDK (IDS Software Suite). Thanks to its small size and USB2 interface, the camera is suitable as a component in embedded vision systems. It is used, for example, in medical or security technology, in the transportation and logistics sector or in kiosk systems.
