3D vision technology with AI
The 'Toreo-P650' camera from Becom Systems combines several 3D measurement methods in one housing. For object detection, it uses a VGA time-of-flight sensor in combination with two 2D color sensors for a high-resolution stereo system.
The multi-layered AI algorithms are executed embedded on the camera itself via Inference DS, which, according to Becom Systems, enables technically sophisticated mapping and neural processing of the data in a highly compressed space. The precise 3D vision technology in combination with AI models opens up new possibilities for the automation of highly complex applications in robotics. The sensor fusion camera, which is specially designed for demanding 3D vision scenarios, is suitable for numerous applications. For example, it offers potential applications in the logistics sector, from goods handling to autonomous robots.
