3D portfolio expanded to include stereo cameras

Basler is adding an industrial-grade stereo camera series to its 3D product portfolio. The five model variants are available in basic distances of 65 mm and 160 mm, each in monochrome and color versions.

All cameras are equipped with a pre-installed, modular onboard software package that is suitable for typical robotics applications such as object recognition or 'reach into the box'. Thanks to the onboard processing, the cameras can be integrated directly - without an external computer. The software package already installed on the camera contains six modules that are tailored to various robotics applications and can be individually selected. For this expansion of the 3D product range, Basler is working closely with Roboception, a provider of hardware and software products in the field of 3D sensor technology.
