Study on artificial intelligence
Survey starts - we need your opinion!
To what extent is artificial intelligence already in use in the industrial environment? What concerns do employees have about the use of AI? Computer&Automation is getting to the bottom of these questions in a study. Take part now!
In November 2018, the German government adopted its Artificial Intelligence Strategy. The aim is to make Germany and Europe a leading location for AI, ensure competitiveness and promote the diverse applications of AI in all areas of society. 500 million euros were made available in 2019 as a first step, with a total of 5 billion euros to be made available by 2025.
The project demonstrates the importance of AI-based technologies for Germany and society. As part of the strategy, research and transfer structures are to be established in order to strengthen confidence in AI and promote its development and application, especially in SMEs.
AI in industry - status quo, opportunities and risks
Artificial intelligence has long since arrived in our lives. We use AI-based systems in a wide variety of everyday situations, be it in the form of navigation systems in cars, translation software or voice assistants such as Alexa and Siri. AI systems support doctors in diagnosing cancer and companies in optimizing processes.
But to what extent is artificial intelligence actually being used in companies? What fields of application has it already opened up? And what is the level of acceptance of AI-based applications among employees?
The study "The use of artificial intelligence in an industrial environment" explores these questions, among others. It aims to shed light on the acceptance of artificial intelligence in organizations in the DACH region. It examines the extent to which people use AI-based applications in their private lives, the extent to which they accept AI in their professional environment and the opportunities and risks that study participants see for themselves, their company and society through the use of AI. The study is being scientifically supported by a research team from the University of Applied Management (Ismaning/Munich) under the direction of Prof. Dr. Matthias Spörrle.
