News from the administration shell
The interoperable digital twin Industry 4.0 in the implementation perspective. This presentation presents the latest developments of the Industrie 4.0 platform and ZVEI with regard to the administration shell.
The presentation first discusses the digital twin as a concept with regard to the challenges of scalability and interoperability in the life cycle and provides an overview of current Industrie 4.0 standardization projects. The Industrie 4.0 asset administration shell is then presented as a concept and discussed in terms of the overall architecture of a production facility, showing how the cross-manufacturer and cross-life cycle exchange of Industrie 4.0 information is already feasible today. The presentation will highlight relevant specifications and discuss the open source tools already available for the asset administration shell. The user organization"Industrial Digital Twin Association (IDTA)" will be presented.
