BobCAD-CAM is a CAD/CAM system from DataCAD with over 150,000 users in the current version V34. The CAD core of the system is available free of charge as BobCAD-FreeCAD.
DataCAD 's BobCAD FreeCAD software offers 2D and 3D design with an intuitive user interface that simplifies the creation and editing of simple and complex parts. The software is compatible with the most common file formats in the industry and enables geometries created with other CAD systems to be opened and edited. According to the provider, the CAD/CAM system enables the entire workflow to be completed within one program - from designing the part geometry, programming the toolpaths and simulating the entire machining process to transferring the data to the machine tool. The modular software offers modules for milling, multi-axis milling, mill-turning, turning, router, laser, plasma & water jet, wire EDM, BobART, Machine Simulation Pro.
