Predictive maintenance in electrical systems

Together with Twingz, Doepke presented e.Guard at SPS 2022, a modular system consisting of smart hardware and flexible software components for intelligent residual current monitoring of electrical systems.

The modular e.Guard system from Doepke permanently monitors the residual currents in the electrical system and thus provides comprehensive control over its condition. This continuous residual current monitoring with documentation makes it possible to dispense with the recurring insulation test in accordance with DIN VDE 0105-100/A1. The residual current data collected can also be used to make predictions about future system behavior using artificial intelligence and machine learning methods.

This means that maintenance, inspections and repairs can be planned and bundled at an early stage and imminent damage can be detected and prevented in good time. The system is structured in five levels and can therefore be planned according to individual requirements - from a flexible stand-alone solution to fully integrated monitoring of the system landscape of complex industrial structures.
