DC/DC converter according to EMV06 V2
Autronic completes the family of railway-compatible DC/DC converters with ultra-wide input with the HFC100-W/T.
The converter from Autronic with 100 W output power offers an input range from 14.4 V(DC) to 154 V(DC). The compact design meets all requirements for use in railroad technology in accordance with EN 50155 and EN 50121-3-2 and EMV06 shunting radio V2. The plug-and-play solution has an efficiency of up to 90 %. Railway-specific EMC requirements are met without additional wiring. The interference emission via the cables or the housing is compliant with class B. Other features include active inrush current limitation, active reverse polarity protection (up to 160 V) and protection against overvoltage, overtemperature and overcurrent, with integrated power failure bridging of 10 ms. Up to three converters can be operated in parallel; the devices are also open-circuit protected. Two LEDs (for input and output) indicate whether a voltage is present or the output is active. The converter can be switched on and off via an enable signal.
