Third generation takes the helm
Sabrina Brossard is the new Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Conextivity Group based in Saint-Prex (Vaud), Switzerland. Together with CEO Jonathan Brossard, she will take over the management of the Group with its two divisions Fischer Connectors and Wearin'.
On June 1, Sabrina Brossard succeeded her father Peter Fischer, who had held the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors since 1999. The family business was founded in 1954 by Sabrina's grandfather, Walter Werner Fischer. As an expert in vacuum technology, he developed the world's first hermetic connector. The generational change takes place just a few months before the family business celebrates its 70th anniversary.
The Conextivity Group records steady double-digit annual growth and has doubled its order intake within seven years. The number of employees in research and development has doubled in five years. The Group employs almost 700 people in eleven subsidiaries, including a new Fischer Connectors plant in Portugal, which will be operational by the end of 2023. In recent years, Fischer Connectors has expanded its activities to cover the entire connectivity supply chain, adding electronic solutions to its traditional portfolio of connectors and cable assemblies. The start-up Wearin', co-founded by Sabrina and Jonathan Brossard, is currently implementing an Internet-of-Things solution for emergency services together with international partners. In addition to her new role as President, Sabrina Brossard will retain her executive and operational roles in Wearin''s marketing.
