Jochen Trautmann (55) has held top management positions at medium-sized corporate groups over the past 20 years, most recently as CEO at Woma. By taking over the management of Rittal Automation Systems, the company intends to further expand its mechanical engineering expertise as a competence center for automation solutions.

In the field of automation, Rittal Automation Systems is a solution partner for industrial customers in control and switchgear construction and mechanical engineering. Automation solutions are an integral part of the portfolio - from fully automated laser processing centers to fully automatic wire processing machines and hand tools. Since the beginning of this year, two companies have joined Rittal Automation Systems, pooling their expertise to form a competence center: Ehrt Maschinenbau from Rheinbreitbach and Alfra from Hockenheim. Ehrt Maschinenbau is a supplier of punching and bending machines for processing flat materials such as busbars and profiles. Alfra produces electrical appliances and tools for metalworking and develops application solutions for magnet and lifting technology.
