Philip Harting confirmed as Chairman

Philip Harting was confirmed as Chairman of the ZVEI Electronic Components and Systems Association and will now lead it for a further three years.

Philip Harting was confirmed as Chairman of the ZVEI trade association'Electronic Components and Systems' (ECS) at the virtual Annual General Meeting. Harting, Chairman of the Harting Technology Group, has already held the position for the past three years and will now lead the association for a further three years. "With our components, we stand for the T of the Internet of Things and thus at the beginning of the value chain. The components industry makes a significant contribution to the networking and intelligence of products and influences all sectors of the electrical industry, such as Industry 4.0, the energy transition and smart grid, smart home, medical technology and electromobility," says Philip Harting, assessing the current situation following his re-election.

Harting has been an elected member of the ZVEI Executive Board since 2014. The 'Electronic Components and Systems' trade association represents one of the most important and highest-turnover sectors within the electrical industry. With its sub-sectors of semiconductors, passive and electromechanical components and microsystems technology - sensors/actuators, the industry achieved a turnover of over 17 billion euros in 2020.
