Federal Cartel Office
Investigations at cable manufacturers
Leoni informs that in the course of investigations by the German Federal Cartel Office against various cable manufacturers and other industry-related companies, searches have also taken place at Leoni Group sites.
The reason for these searches is the suspicion that cable manufacturers are alleged to have coordinated the calculation of industry-standard metal surcharges in Germany.
In an ad hoc announcement, automotive supplier and cable manufacturer Leoni states that it will cooperate with the authorities and investigate the allegations.
Prysmian, one of the world's largest cable manufacturers, has also announced that the German Federal Cartel Office has carried out searches at certain of the Group's sites in Germany. Prysmian is also cooperating with the Federal Cartel Office.
