Installing and routing multiple cables in an EMC-compliant manner
Pflitsch has expanded its UNI Dicht modular system to include the 'UNI Dicht Mehrfach TRI' for EMC applications in order to install several cables in one cable entry to save space.
Where cables are routed through the housing wall of an enclosure, a gap can occur in the shielding concept through which electromagnetic waves can "slip through". Pflitsch closes this gap with an EMC multiple cable gland 'UNI Dicht Mehrfach TRI', which is manufactured to the cable cross-sections used in the customer's installation. In this solution, the company combines the shielding and sealing functions from the 'UNI Dicht' and 'blueglobe' cable gland series.
Behind the sealing insert in the cable gland is a precisely fitting metal washer that is manufactured for the cable diameters used. In this disk, the shield of each cable is individually contacted over a large area of 360° via a TRI spring. A circumferential IRIS spring ring ensures reliable contact between the inserted washer and the cable gland body.
Pflitsch manufactures this solution to customer specifications in sizes M25 to M63. The UNI Dicht multiple TRI meets protection class IP68 and is approved for the temperature range -40 °C to +130 °C. The cable gland can also be combined with the ProTect corrugated conduit system for all-round mechanical protection.
