Hy-Line has expanded its USB extender product family with the USB-C hybrid cable 'USC-CC32'. It enables the connection between server computer and HMI up to 4k resolution.

Conventional cables from USB type C plug to C plug are limited in length to around 1 m. In contrast, the new hybrid cable from Hy-Line transmits 10 Gbps super-speed data bidirectionally via fiber optics and power for remote devices via integrated copper wires without interference. The single-cable solution can deliver 100 W at 10 m or 60 W at 15 m. The DisplayPort Alt mode 4K@60Hz is supported on two DisplayPort lanes with 8.1 Gbps/lane each. The hybrid cable is also compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 standards. USC-CC32 supports all functions simultaneously. The plug-and-play solution from USB type C plug to C plug requires no external power supply. The entire electronics are housed in the slim connector housing and prevent ESD, EMI and RFI. The connection terminal with its curved design ensures that no interference occurs when connecting to devices such as monitors. Protection against unintentional disconnection of the cable is provided by the optional locking device, which can be attached to the housings of the host and devices with a screw.
