The turned crimp contacts of the M12 connectors from Conec can accommodate flexible wire cross-sections from AWG 28 to AWG 22 (with X-coding) and AWG 24 to AWG 18 (with A, B and D-coding). According to the supplier, the advantage of the turned crimp contacts is a reliable and gas-tight connection to the stranded wire, which ensures a consistently low contact resistance even under extreme conditions. The couplings are also available with so-called closed entry contacts, which provide additional mating security for the socket contacts. A tactile vibration protection protects against loosening due to vibrations during operation. The connector housing is made entirely of metal. The connectors are designed for cable diameters from 4.5 to 8.3 mm, the shield connection is 360° around the full circumference. All variants comply with IP67 when mated and screwed.
