Customized input systems

With the capacitive membrane keypads from Bopla, sensors and evaluation electronics can be integrated into a compact input unit instead of being separated from the user interface on the circuit board, as is usually the case.

This is made possible by hybrid electronics, which can be used to flexibly equip free-form surfaces with individually designed touch sensors. This can be printed as a single button, slider or matrix directly on the respective user surface - glass, acrylic glass, housing cover, etc. - or on a separate film. Such a touch sensor foil can be stuck onto any surface to transform it into an input unit.

According to the manufacturer Bopla, the sealed surface is guaranteed to function perfectly even when exposed to moisture, aggressive liquids, dirt and other contaminants. As the capacitive input units are easy to clean, they can be used in harsh industrial environments as well as in hygienically clean environments.
