Change of management at the turn of the year

Dr. Michael Müller (38) has been the new Managing Director of LWL-Sachsenkabel since 1 January 2023. The doctor of mechanical engineering succeeds Silvia Duus, who is retiring after 15 years at the helm of the company.

There was also a change in management at LWL-Sachsenkabel at the turn of the year: Dr. Michael Müller (photo) took over from Silvia Duus as Managing Director of the provider of fibre optic cabling on January 1, 2023. Dr. Müller most recently held various management positions as well as the management of an internationally active specialist in electron and laser beam technology and has many years of experience in sales, project and product management as well as expertise in the field of production technology. For Müller, the central pillars of the future development of LWL-Sachsenkabel are product innovation and production optimization, particularly with regard to solutions for the broadband expansion business area.

LWL-Sachsenkabel was founded in 1991. The company, based in Gornsdorf/Erzgebirge, is part of the Amphenol Corporation and is a manufacturer of fiber optic cabling systems. Its business activities focus on fiber optic solutions for telecommunications, broadband expansion, data centers, industry and broadcasting as well as special fibers for demanding laser and spectroscopic applications. The company employs a good 170 people.
