AR brings enclosures and panel PCs to life

With the help of an augmented reality application, Rose Systemtechnik brings products directly into customers' production halls. Customers can use their smartphone or tablet to virtually try out how the enclosures and panel PCs would look on their machines.

With the augmented reality application, Rose offers machine and plant manufacturers the opportunity to virtually place enclosure systems and panel PCs on their own machines. In this way, potential customers can quickly and directly grasp the product features and immediately see how the enclosures and HMI solutions fit into their own machine.

The AR application was developed by Cynapsis Interactive. To use it, all you need is a standard smartphone or tablet to scan a QR code. A window then opens in the device's Internet browser in which the selected Rose product can be seen in a 3D view in front of the respective real background that the cell phone camera is showing at that moment. By moving the mobile device, the virtual product can be combined with the user's own machine as required.

The first AR products include customer-specific solutions as well as the 'SL 5000' control housing and the 'S-Line Gen.5' panel PC.
