Semi-automated format adjustment
In many applications, purely manual adjustments do not meet the requirements for quality, reproducibility and traceability. One solution is to supplement manual format adjustments with the digital position indicator SeGMo-Assist from Lenord+Bauer.
It is slid onto the shaft end of the axis to be adjusted and communicates with the controller via a bus interface, which sends set values and reads out actual values reported back. This allows the axes connected to the PLC to be monitored reliably. The position is measured using an absolute encoder integrated into the device, which does not require a backup battery.
When switched off, the drive shaft can be adjusted by ±129 revolutions without losing the multiturn absolute position. The display recognizes its position after power on or emergency stop and is immediately ready for use without a reference run. The OLED display with backlighting shows the actual and target position, direction of rotation and operating states.
