Safety structure quickly configured
The 'Safety Configuration Library (SCL)' is a free software tool from SEW-Eurodrive with a focus on functional safety, which has now been expanded to include the 'Movi-C' control cabinet devices.
SCL supports customers in the pre-selection of drive components with suitable safety technology. The user selects the requirements for the concept and the desired products via the configuration. New additions include the control cabinet devices from the Movi-C modular automation system, such as frequency inverters and controllers. With each selection, the corresponding concept image is gradually built up. According to SEW Eurodrive, it is greatly simplified graphically and provides an overview of the required components and their interaction in the overall system. All concepts are checked for their basic suitability so that the requirements of the required performance level (PLr) are met. At the end of the configuration process, a complete concept image is created with the safety sub-functions that can be realized with it. This project-specific results report can be downloaded as a PDF.
