Multi Carrier for compact machine designs
Schneider Electric has developed Lexium MC12, a multi-carrier for transporting, positioning and grouping objects. With its modular installation method, the solution enables the implementation of new machine designs.
With the Multi Carrier from Schneider Electric, for example, it is possible to customize rail layouts and move the carriers placed on them individually and at different speeds. The Multi Carrier with a maximum load capacity of 2.2 kg is particularly tailored to the requirements of consumer goods packaging, material handling or assembly machines. According to the supplier, the carriers move precisely both on straight stretches and in curves so that objects can also be handled while moving. In addition, the carrier movements can be synchronized with the movements of robots or other electric drives. Mechanical and electrical installation can be carried out directly on site without the need for special tools. As part of the 'EcoStruxure Machine' IIoT solution architecture, the carrier is fully integrated into the 'EcoStruxure Machine Expert' software environment.
