Motek/Bondexpo

Change every 2 years

From 2026, the trade fair duo Motek/Bondexpo, the international trade fair for production and assembly automation together with the international trade fair for adhesive bonding technology, will be held every two years. The next traditional industry gathering will take place in Stuttgart from October 6 to 8, 2026.

In future, the complementary autumn event will take place every two years in the even-numbered years and, with a shorter trade fair duration of three days, will offer all participants a significant increase in efficiency and benefits. The portfolio of topics along the process chain provides manufacturing companies with practical solutions for future-proof automation.

The 43rd Motek, international trade fair for production and assembly automation, will take place together with the 18th Bondexpo, international trade fair for bonding technology, from October 6 to 8, 2026 in Stuttgart. This means that the traditional trade fair duo will now be held every two years in even years. "This decision is in line with the wishes of many exhibitors to organize the trade fair every two years. The planned date of 2025 will be moved to next year," explains Rainer Bachert, Project Manager at trade fair organizer P. E. Schall. "The tried-and-tested trade fair double in the new rhythm and with a duration of three days from Tuesday to Thursday offers the manufacturing industry the usual valuable business platform with more efficiency at the same time," continues Bachert. Exhibitors and trade visitors will benefit from the clear and relevant topic structure along the value chain of industrial production. A comprehensive supporting program complements the content of the trade fair visit and also offers added value for new contacts. An additional advantage is the central and conveniently located trade fair location of Stuttgart with unique international, national and regional connections.

Cooperation with 'Vision' sets new milestones for greater efficiency and profitability

Motek/Bondexpo covers the entire process chain for cost-effective production and assembly automation - from components and assemblies to subsystems and complete systems. The trade fair's target group is manufacturing companies from all sectors. Anyone who wants to automate a process - for example in the fields of mechanical engineering, equipment and plant engineering, automotive engineering and vehicle construction, sheet metal processing, plastics processing, metalworking and metal processing, woodworking, electronics and electrical engineering, laboratory automation, healthcare and medical technology - will find the right components and solutions at Motek/Bondexpo. The industry's autumn highlight will cooperate closely with 'Vision', the international trade fair for machine vision, for the first time in 2026. Both events will take place at the same time at the same location and are open to all visitors with a joint ticket. "Exhibitors and trade visitors alike will benefit from Motek/Bondexpo taking place at the same time and in the same place as 'Vision'," emphasizes Rainer Bachert. "The optimized use of resources and bundled communication results in greater impact when addressing target groups and reaching visitors. Thanks to the high relevance of the topics of both leading trade fairs for everyday industrial life, both events will complement each other perfectly with their practical benefits."

Effective networking, direct knowledge transfer and revised exhibition packages

"We are creating new, more flexible participation options for 2026 with individual stand areas or combined exhibition packages," the project manager continues. The tried-and-tested start-up area is being prepared again, as is a theme-focused supporting program that is clearly prepared for the target group, which complements a successful visit to the trade fair, supports networking and generates new business contacts. This includes, for example, a lecture forum, a specialist congress and other formats that support the transfer of knowledge into industrial practice. "The focus on topics along the entire manufacturing value chain, the ideal trade fair location in the middle of one of Europe's strongest economic regions and the challenge of having to implement sustainable and efficient automation are unbeatable arguments for the proven industry platform Motek/Bondexpo from 6 to 8 October 2026, to which we are already cordially inviting you," says Bachert.
