Schaeffler cooperates with VinDynamics

Schaeffler and VinDynamics, a company of the Vietnamese Vingroup, have agreed on a strategic partnership in the field of humanoid robotics. The collaboration focuses on the development and supply of planetary gearboxes, central components of actuators that act as muscles and joints and enable the movement of humanoids.

In addition, the two companies are jointly collecting robot and application-related data that will help to further improve the design and performance of the actuators and create the basis for future services such as predictive maintenance. The partnership marks Schaeffler's first cooperation with a humanoid manufacturer in the Asia/Pacific region. This complements the company's existing partnerships with manufacturers in Europe, China and the USA and further expands its global position in the humanoid ecosystem.
