Inka Krischke,

Space-saving rotor position encoder for confined installation situations

For applications where the installation space in electric drives is extremely limited, Lenord+Bauer offers an inductive rotor position sensor for detecting pole position, angle and speed with extremely small dimensions.

According to Lenord+Bauer, the compact version of the well-known 'Variocoder' can be integrated into all motor designs in the smallest of spaces with high mounting tolerances. The rotor position encoder has a further reduced outer diameter, as the electronics housing is located directly on the stator. Users can choose between three different cable outlets: Axial, tangential and at an angle of 45°. This increases design freedom and enables better integration in tight installation spaces. The variable size concept is also retained in the compact version, so that the rotor position encoder can still be individually adapted to the customer's motor design.
