KEB acquires stake in Brusatori Motori Elettrici
The East Westphalian company KEB Automation acquired a 30% stake in the Italian motor manufacturer Brusatori, based near Milan, at the turn of the year.
"By acquiring a stake in Brusatori Motori Elettrici, we are further expanding our position as an integrated provider of automation solutions right through to the machine shaft," says Curt Bauer, Managing Director of KEB Automation. Founded in 1953, the family-owned company Brusatori is known as a manufacturer of asynchronous, DC and permanent magnet synchronous motor technology. In 2017, the first torque motor sizes were developed, completing the range with direct drives in water-cooled or air-cooled versions for nominal torques of up to 1300 Nm. KEB has been producing asynchronous and synchronous motors up to 45 kW in a universal modular system for geared motors since the mid-1990s. The complete development and production for this is carried out at the KEB geared motor plant in Schneeberg (Saxony).
