Electrical automation technologyPositive despite political turbulence
All segments in the automation industry performed well at the start of the year, as Dr. Gunther Kegel, Chairman of the Board of the ZVEI Automation Association, announced at the Hannover Messe 2019. A look back at the previous year is also positive for the association.

... global production: According to the latest data collected in 2017, the global production of automation amounted to EUR 520 billion. Once again, the People's Republic of China is the largest producer with a share of over 45%. Europe accounts for a total of around 21%, making it twice as large as the USA. In Europe itself, German automation manufacturers account for the largest share with just under 40% (8% of global production). France and the UK each have a 9% share of the EU market. This makes Germany the world's number three behind China and the USA.
