Dunkermotoren's Servotube series of direct linear motors is now also available with the "DME230x4" Profinet controller. In combination with this controller, the linear motors can be easily integrated into the Siemens control environment. According to the manufacturer, the linear system offers high dynamics and good control quality for fast and precise positioning. The "ST" series is mainly used in industrial machines, laboratory equipment or test benches. As no mechanical parts interlock, the series enables very smooth running. Lifting applications with running performances of over 50,000 km can be realized. Speeds of up to 10 m/s, accelerations of up to 600 m/s², peak forces of up to 1860 N and protection classes of up to IP67 are further features of the motors.
