Formula Student Germany 2019German racing cars prove themselves at the Hockenheimring
Around 3,500 students from 25 countries brought the asphalt at the Hockenheimring to the boil at the beginning of August: At the 'Formula Student Germany 2019' design competition, their self-built racing cars competed in the combustion engine, electric drive and autonomous vehicle classes.

In the 'Combustion' competition class, the team from Esslingen University of Applied Sciences took the overall victory with 882 points. They were closely followed by the team from Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon (USA) with 866 points. Finally, the Italian team from the Politecnico di Milano followed with around 779 points.
