Siemens - Q4 and full year 2017'Digital Factory' is growing the fastest
Siemens has announced its figures for fiscal year 2017, which ended on September 30. The frontrunner in terms of turnover: the 'Digital Factory' division with an increase of 9% on a comparable basis - i.e. excluding currency translation and portfolio effects.
In the Power and Gas division, a higher volume of major orders in the service business led to growth in order intake in the fourth quarter. However, declining markets led to a decrease in sales revenue in all reporting regions - particularly in the solutions business and for large gas turbines. According to Siemens, global energy trends are depressing general demand in the markets, resulting in a decline in the new installations business.
